MEGAN ISAACS
BIO
In 2009, Megan Isaacs began her undergraduate studies in the painting department of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) while working as an illustrator for the school newspaper Fnewsmagazine. After receiving the Kathryn W. Davis Projects for Peace grant in 2010, she spent a summer organizing and a conducting a Sustainable Biofuel Briquette Project in southern Kenya to promote environmental conservation and instigate microfinance opportunities. During the fall of 2011, she studied abroad with the School of International Training in Jaipur, India where she learned about social change interventions, sustainability and alternative modes of development. The following spring she resumed her fine arts studies at Emily Carr University in Vancouver, Canada. During her final year at SAIC she co-led two environmental student groups which worked with students, faculty and staff on multiple on-campus sustainability initiatives. She recently graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and is currently living and working in Chicago.
